Crackin' good eggs
Our Lohman
laying hens lay about 325 eggs a year.
We keep them in small units of 1,000 or less so that they range better.
All our birds have completely free access to natural woodland and
to the stream which passes through the property.
They are fed a high quality wheat/soya/maize blend plus essential vitamins and extract of marigold. (No other additives for colouring are given.) They supplement this by scratching all day for frogs, worms and insects. No antibiotics are given.
Currently we have 2,000 birds producing 1400 – 1500 eggs each day.
Our optimum number of 3,000 birds should be achieved shortly.
We produce medium, large and fantastic extra-large eggs.
You can enjoy your Offchurch eggs knowing that the hens that laid them
have enjoyed a natural, free-ranging lifestyle scratching around trees,
grass, water and shaded woodland.
